You’re never shaving off The Beard…?
Nope. Never.
The blog was originally a poorly thought out (and executed) rant at the world. Quite negative. And not with any real merit (Oxford Comma for the win).
I’ve actually decided that if I’m going to focus such attention into such a space, I should probably do something with it. Much like our big ride and the charity work we ultimately did with that.
So, the new blog is a chronicle of all the things I enjoy. Including and mostly (but not intensely limited to) following me through the journey which is having a backwards baby.
Well. Sort of. I intend to follow a plan through in order to be at the same weight that I was when I was 18 when I hit my 30th birthday. Which just so happens to be 9 months away, and it just so happens to be about 2 stone…..hence the backwards baby (they weigh that much, right? I’ve no idea!).
15 stone 4 lb. Down to 13 stone 2lb.
It’s also going to (FINALLY) toughen me up fitness wise in order to be able to compete properly at the megavalanche (I’ve got to shave another 3 minutes off my time if I’m to qualify for the proper event next year!). That, and it’s just very much over due.
So. Mondays and Fridays are MTB rides after work. Tuesdays will be swimming. The rest of the week, I’ve no idea. I’ve never been brilliant with this exercise regime stuff…..so I guess we’ll just figure it out.
Stay tuned for incredibly boring facts such as BMI, what bike I’m riding today, how much I ate in a week (and what it was), how far I ran (and how fast), and possibly (though not guaranteed), pictures of myself before/during/after.
If I can figure out how to make this blog show a chart along the side, that might also have a couple of interesting facts such as miles (swum/ran/ridden) vs weight on.
We’ll see.
Either way, this is going ahead.
/boring diatribe.
It can be a really useful tool to vent your rage, anger, and thoughts so they’re not stuck in your head keeping you awake at night. But reading other people’s rants can get a little irksome. Everyone, I’m sure, has a friend whose Faceache status is ALWAYS a moan which get’s boring after a while. So it’s cool that you’re going to use your blog to record something positive. Although, the odd occasional rant wouldn’t go amiss. Your’s do tend to be pretty funny.
On a side note; I think my inability to grammarise has rubbed off on you. Where exactly is The Oxford Comma of which you speak?
Less of an Oxford comma, more of an Oxford Full stop. I don’t think they do them!
Shame the background photo hasn’t worked. It’s clearly WAY too massive to show up….as all you’re seeing is the very top of the left hand corner, and not the whole photo, which is me riding in the alps!
